Integrating Groundwater Modelling System Software and QGIS for Spring Water Delineation and Management: Comprehensive Review

In order to protect the ecosystem and ensure that there is always access to the required amount of fresh water, it is crucial to arrange the management of spring water in a proper manner. Regarding the characteristics of the spring water sources, it must be emphasized that specialized equipment and techniques must be applied. The next document describes the specifics of the software GMS's integration with QGIS to enhance spring water management and division. The groundwater modelling capabilities of GMS and the spatial analysis and spring water resource display capabilities of QGIS would be complementary in the suggested framework. The paper illustrates the methodology, the positive aspects, and the drawbacks of the integration process and provides examples of its use in work.
