Abstract $$graphic_{B4F63675-7E4C-47A8-9200-774E8D390941}$$ RATIONALE Dietary interventions may alter the gut microbiome and assist us in understanding how different phenotypes affect inflammation, metabolic pathways, and immunity. We investigated if a low-calorie Mediterranean diet (LoCalMed) to improve health outcomes in FDNY firefighters with World Trade Center-Lung Injury (WTC-LI), and assess the changes in the microbiome.
