Industry 4.0
Résumé fourni par la source
The purpose of this chapter is to offer an outline for energy conservation of Industry 4.0. Our purpose is to provide an insight into what Industry 4.0 is, scavenge the ambient energy and convert it into electrical energy in micro scale, and how we should design and execute potential business entities. The microelectromechanical system (MEMS) has evolved as a cutting-edge technology in Industry 4.0, providing novel opportunities in physical, chemical, and biological sensor and actuator applications. It consists of microelectronics elements, actuator, sensors, and mechanical structures built onto a substrate, which is usually silicon. Although in MEMS, piezoelectric energy harvester (PEH) has received keen interest in salvaging the ambient energy and convert into electrical energy. The electric potential produced from the piezoelectric module is directly proportional to the amount of mechanical energy or strain supplied to the physical structure. Piezoelectric transduction offers high scalability, high power densities, and simple design as compared to static transducers. MEMS demonstrates outstanding adaptability and malleability in miniaturization device with a compressed aspect, reduced energy use, and functioning up to the mark due to the immersion of numerous domains. Our current scenario in micro/nano system is to fabricate smaller, lighter, and more powerful devices.
