Résumé fourni par la source

The silkworm, Antheraea proylei, was used to examine the effects of sucrose, lactic acid, and folic acid on its growth rate pattern. Third, fourth, and fifth instar larvae fed on sucrose (5%, 10%, 15%), lactic acid (10%, 15%, 20%), and folic acid (0.2%, 0.4%, 0.5%), had their growth, cocoon quality evaluated. The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of different feeding supplementation on the growth rate pattern of Antheraea proylei. The study's findings showed the length and weight of larvae. Result showed that lactic acid supplementation positively affects growth and cocoon quality, with increased larval weight and length which achieve the objective of Sericulture is to generate of large number of high quality of cocoons which in turn generate high quality of raw silk.
