After this article was published, the authors identified fluctuating stability in the JM package for joint modeling and a minor coding error in the analysis.After addressing this error and transitioning to the more stable JMbayes2 package, the following points were noted:• Instead of "Rizopoulos DJM, An R (2010) Package for the joint modelling of longitudinal and time-toevent data.J Stat Softw 35(9):1-33" Ref [34] should be: "Rizopoulos D, Papageorgiou G, Miranda Afonso P (2024).JMbayes2: Extended Joint Models for Longitudinal and Time-to-Event Data.
