Introduction: the objective structured clinical examination (OSCE), is characterized as an instrument for assessing reasoning competencies, analyzing professional conduct in an objective and structured manner through pre-defined patterns. Objective: was to carry out a systematic review, which brings together the areas of application, from the OSCE in Brazil, and the applications of its use period from 2013 to 2023. Methodology: through a pattern of descriptors: (OSCE OR “ESTRUTURATED EXAM”) AND (BRASIL OR BRAZIL OR BR) AND (APLICATION OR APLICAÇÃO OR USE OR USO), researched forums, complete articles, published in Portuguese and English. Results: the initial research consisted of a total of 71 articles, and then triage processes based on exclusion criteria, including eight complete articles, from which a group of information was extracted, for the purpose of carrying out a comparison between the different authors. The study demonstrates an openness for courses such as Physiotherapy, Pharmacy and Nursing, but also with prevalence in the Medical course. Conclusions: the authors characterize OSCE in two ways, as being an endorsement supplementary to other tools, or as a golden pad of practical endorsement.
