Le résumé fourni par la source
Pointing shots are typically used to test the beam pointing accuracy of high-power laser facilities. This paper proposes a new method for measuring pointing accuracy by utilizing visible light generated during the low-energy laser interaction with a test target. The center position of the visible-light spot accurately represents the actual laser spot position. Additionally, an aluminum planar target with grid lines on its surface is designed to enhance precision. This method not only reduces errors and uncertainties in pointing measurements but also improves the efficiency of pointing shots. Successful implementation on a laser facility demonstrates significant improvements in data processing accuracy, pointing deviation stability, and operational efficiency. After correcting the measured beam pointing deviations, the facility achieves a final pointing accuracy of ∼20 μm, surpassing the required 30 μm specification.
