A spatial distribution of elderly institutions in the Yangtze River Delta (Up to 2023)
Résumé fourni par la source
China is entering a stage of deep aging. As one of the most economically developed and densely populated regions, the Yangtze River Delta (YRD) is facing the aging issues. As a core component of the elderly service system, the spatial and temporal pattern distribution of elderly institutions is crucial to solving the aging problem and improving the elderly service system. This study aims to solve the problem of missing data on the spatial and temporal distribution of elderly institutions in the YRD. With the help of GIS technology and web crawler technology, the study produced a spatial distribution of elderly institutions in the Yangtze River Delta on the basis of the catalog of elderly institutions on the integrated government service platform of civil affairs, combined with multi-source data from provincial civil affairs platforms and others. The dataset integrates information from a total of 8,462 elderly institutions in the YRD region, including 3,278 in Anhui Province, 2,244 in Jiangsu Province, 920 in Shanghai, and 2020 in Zhejiang Province, covering attributes such as organization name, geographic coordinates, establishment time, and number of beds. The data development process combines official data from multiple sources to manually proofread the spatial location and information content, ensuring the accuracy of the data. This dataset can serve as a data source of data for studying elderly care issues in the YRD, as well as provide a scientific decision-making basis for the relevant authorities to understand the distribution of elderly care institutions in the region, track the development trends of the elderly care industry, and define the direction of resource optimization. It will help promote the soundness and development of the elderly care system in the YRD.
