Abstract The V‐shaped pier rigid frame bridge has flexible lines and smooth structure. How to effectively choose the appropriate construction design scheme to reduce the stress on the bridge is the key to bridge construction. In this paper, the structural optimization scheme of the bridge is obtained through finite element software simulation analysis, the pre‐stressing system and camber degree are optimized, and the height and other aspects of the bridge are analyzed. Through simulation optimization, the stress distribution of V‐shaped pier rigid frame bridge can be analyzed. And by improving the influence of structural parameters such as inclination ratio a and height ratio b, a bridge structure with more reasonable stress distribution can be obtained. Based on this design scheme, the key technology for the construction of large‐span V‐shaped pier rigid bridge is studied, and through the optimisation of the process, the structure of the bridge is made more stable, and finally, the optimised structural parameters are the inclination ratio a is selected as 0.48, and the height ratio b is 4.93. At this time, the tensile stresses on the outer limb legs and the bottom of the pier base are effectively reduced, and it provides the idea for the development of similar projects.
