Development of an Intelligent Control Device for Air conditioning in Switchgear Room of the Substation

In recent years, the electricity load has increased with the rapid development of social economy. To meet the users' electricity demand, the number of new substations built by the State Grid every year has also been increasing. The switchgear room is essential for the substation, supplying electricity to large customers. Therefore, it is crucial to ensure its equipment's safe and stable operation. In the past, maintenance personnel would determine the state of air conditioning loads during inspections based on experience to adjust the indoor environment of the switch room. However, due to the large span of the inspection cycle, it was impossible to control the indoor air conditioning loads in time, resulting in the waste of electricity and the deterioration of the equipment operating environment. To solve this problem, this paper develops an intelligent air conditioning control device for substation switchgear rooms. The device automatically controls the air conditioning loads based on real-time and accurate indoor temperature and humidity data. It also sends the detection and action information to the maintenance personnel in time, improving their work efficiency.
