Le résumé fourni par la source

Ground anchors have been used in construction for decades to provide tethering and uplift support to many types of construction and utility operations. New materials and design technology have allowed for a wide range of structures to be deployed in various industries that require reliable capacity from anchoring systems without much performance data. Four candidate anchor types representing industry standards, such as spread earth and single helix anchors, were evaluated alongside two novel proprietary helical anchors by a Quick Pull-out method and evaluated according to a suitable testing matrix in three varying soil sites, a sandy soil type and two cohesive types. Testing was conducted using a portable laminated timber load frame and tension bar that was instrumented with a load shackle sensor and string potentiometer for force and displacement measurements. Results indicated that two helical anchors, a screw type, a multi-helix anchor, and a single helix provided the best performance to resist uplift forces of 3,700 lb from wind loading for a novel inflatable aircraft hangar.
