This paper aims to understand the situation of women in political life in West and Central Africa. It focuses on the political participation of women and girls in Côte d'Ivoire, Benin, Madagascar and Cameroon, in order to understand the challenges of representation, perceptions and social resistance, as well as factors influencing changes in behavior and attitudes. Using a qualitative approach and a documentary analysis of the legal institutional frameworks and scientific literature of the various countries, the study also explores the contributions of the VCFF program to women's political participation, the fight against gender-based violence and women's empowerment. The analysis is particularly sensitive to the strengths, achievements and innovations of the VCFF program in the different countries, while identifying the program's limitations and challenges in strengthening the political participation of women and girls.KEYWORDS:Africa, Women's political participation, VCFF Program.
