size can affect the accuracy of electrode placement, leading to deviations from the intended positions.Additionally, the accuracy of the positioner would not be on the order of a millimeter. This study aimed to evaluate the variation in EF during tACS and EFE during TIS when slight electrode displacement was considered. The computational assessment was conducted using a volume conductor model for an electrode montage targeting the primary somatosensory cortex across 20 anatomical head models. The results indicated that the variation in EFE during TIS is approximately twice that of EF during tACS.Furthermore, while the variation in EF during tACS remained consistent regardless of the target region's depth, the variation in EFE during TIS increased as the target region became deeper.
