Consistency Evaluation of Battery Pack Based on Pareto Optimality Method

With the increase of installed renewable energy capacity around the world, new energy storage technologies represented by lithium batteries have developed rapidly, and the scale of energy storage power stations has gradually jumped from the scale of hundred megawatt-hours to the scale of gigawatt-hours. As one of the key factors affecting the operation condition of the power station, the inconsistency of the battery pack needs to be paid more attention. At present, the consistency evaluation of battery packs usually needs to rely on professional prior knowledge or subjective empowerment methods, which are often poor in implementation and not objective enough. This paper proposes a new battery consistency evaluation method based on the Pareto optimal method to solve this issue. To verify the effectiveness of the proposed method, a manual dataset and an actual 100MW/200MWh energy storage power station are studied successively in this paper. The results show that the proposed method can objectively evaluate the consistency of the battery packs under multiple evaluation indicators.
