The increase in wind power penetration has brought new challenges to the stability of power systems. Sub-synchronous oscillations have garnered widespread attention from researchers in recent years, yet no solutions have been proposed that effectively balance suppression effects and cost savings. Therefore, this paper analyzes the oscillation stability of doubly-fed induction generator (DFIG) wind farms with series-compensated transmission lines within twice the fundamental frequency range (100Hz) from the perspective of impedance, and proposes a series-damping strategy. Verification through PSCAD simulation shows that this method can rapidly suppress the divergence of sub-synchronous oscillation components in the early stages of SSO, thereby enhancing the stability of renewable power systems.
