Modern society is undergoing extensive digital transformation across all sectors in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.Digital technology advancements impact our lives by enabling individuals to access digital services and create content anytime and anywhere, based only on personal interests and preferences.As various aspects of life become intertwined with digital environments, digital citizenship emerges as a crucial competency and quality required of citizens navigating this new societal landscape.This paper proposes digital citizenship education as a high school information curriculum class, which is the fundamental skill set citizens in a digital society must have.To cultivate digital citizenship, the course will utilize the phenomenon of hallucination in ChatGPT, focusing on the errors and inaccuracies generated by generative AI.This approach demonstrates the importance of critically evaluating the accuracy of AI-generated information rather than accepting AI-generated content at face value by including the possibility that generative AI can also transmit false information in this paper's course design.This approach aligns with the 2022 revised information curriculum's goals of fostering digital and AI literacy.Emphasizing the importance of accurate data collection and the process of verifying information in this information lesson contributes to digital citizenship education.
