Companies like Amazon, UPS, and DHL are at the forefront, investing heavily in drone delivery technologies, with regulatory milestones paving the way for autonomous operations. In urban environments, loitering missions are increasingly common, encompassing tasks such as police surveillance, transportation network monitoring, and infrastructure inspection. These missions bolster efficiency, cut costs, and enhance safety across sectors. However, integrating drones into urban settings poses challenges. Technologically, issues such as battery life, flight time, and power consumption necessitate innovations like strategic charging stations and optimized battery use.
