The actions necessary for the successful transfer of technology in the pharmaceutical sector—commonly referred to as technology transfer - constitute a systematic procedure. This process involves the transmission, implementation, and adaptation of information, research findings, new technologies, and developments. It serves as the foundation for production processes, control strategies, approaches to validation, and continuous improvement efforts. The specifics of knowledge transfer have been addressed, emphasizing the need for step-by-step documentation of all stages of the transfer process. The role of insufficient documentation of the knowledge required for transfer has been highlighted, as it can lead to ineffective transfer and serious issues during product release. The success of technology transfer is closely linked to the effective functioning of the pharmaceutical quality system at the site of stable production, aligned with the specified quality parameters established during development. The participation of the receiving party in the transfer process and the importance of accounting for and maintaining documentation have been emphasized. Additionally, the significance of the receiving party’s role in evaluating the relevant documents from the transferring party, considering the specific differences between the sites of both parties, has been noted.
