Correlation of Dopamine Receptor Selectivity and Hemodynamic Effects on the Intact Animal
Résumé fourni par la source
The discovery of discrete receptors for dopamine in the periphery has provided a new site for cardiovascular therapy. Although the existence of peripheral dopamine-releasing neurons has not been established, it is clear that receptors for dopamine exist on sympathetic nerve terminals, on smooth muscle of defined vascular beds, and perhaps in sympathetic ganglia. Pharmacologie analysis of dopamine’s action has shown that there are two principal subtypes of dopamine receptor. Although there has been recent evidence presented to suggest that DA 1 and DA 2 receptors can be further subdivided ( 1 , 2 ), the concept of these two dopamine receptors can explain most of the consequences of peripheral dopaminergic stimulation in in vivo and in vitro systems.
