In recent decades, China has achieved significant advancements in healthcare, driven by rapid economic and technological growth, as well as increased investments in the health sector. However, the challenges posed by climate change will undoubtedly impede China’s ability to sustain high-quality healthcare services and further improve the population’s health. The consequences of climate change will manifest in diverse ways, affecting temperature patterns, water resources, food production and the spread of infectious diseases. These impacts will directly or indirectly harm the health of the population. This chapter aims to summarize the relationship between climate change and health in China, exploring various aspects of this association in dedicated sections.
