Experiment on Estimating the Depth of a Gamma-ray Source Using Stereo Gamma Imager
Résumé fourni par la source
In this study, we performed a mathematical modeling of the acquisition of two-dimensional position coordinate into three-dimensional image position information using two gamma-ray imagers, EPSILON-Gs. Two gamma-ray imagers were arranged in parallel to construct the experimental setup. The data obtained from each camera were used to calculate the depth estimation of the gamma-ray source from the camera using triangulation. The optimal distance between the two cameras was determined to be 11.5 cm. Using this distance, we applied two methods to estimate the depth of the gamma-ray source. Experiments to estimate the depth of the gamma-ray source from the center of the two cameras showed that the minimum and maximum values of the error were $1.2 \%$ and $5.4 \%$, respectively. In addition, in the depth estimation method of fixing the left camera and adjusting the angle of the right camera, the minimum and maximum values of the error were observed to be $0.4 \%$ and $14 \%$, respectively.
