We develop a Geant4 Monte Carlo (MC) simulation of the TIARA detector dedicated to Prompt Gamma Time Imaging (PGTI) used to monitor dose deposition in protontherapy. The Time-of-flight Imaging Array (TIARA) consists of a beam monitor and thirty PbF2 Cherenkov radiators placed around a phantom head. Computed Tomography (CT) scans of the setup tested at the Mediterranean Institute for Protontherapy of the Centre Antoine Lacassagne (CAL) in Nice are used to define precisely the geometry of the simulated setup. The simulated proton beam reproduces the beam specifications that are used at CAL. The phantom that is used is a RANDO phantom head described by taking into account the materials it is made of using DICOM data of the phantom scan. The purpose is to compare results obtained with the simulation to the experimental data. We describe the Monte Carlo implementation of the PGTI setup and preliminary simulation results against experimental data.
