Background: This study aims to delineate trends in reperfusion strategies and outcomes for ST-Elevation Myocardial Infarction (STEMI) patients over a ve-year period at a tertiary care centre. It provides a detailed examination of demographic shifts, clinical practices, and patient outcomes. Method: We conducted a retrospective and prospective cohort study of 815 STEMI patients admitted between 2019 and 2023. Comprehensive data and trends were analysed. Around 3-fold rise in patients under 40 years from 5.8% to 15.84%. A considerable portion of patients presented late, particularly in the 1-6 hours category. Morbidity trends varied. The length of hospital stays (1to3 days) improved, reecting enhanced healthcare access and efciency. The demographics and symptomatology recorded align well with broader trends suggesting a consistent approach towards STEMI management globally. Conclusion: Over the last ve years, our centre has made signicant strides in the management of STEMI. In hospital mortality rates remained stable or improved slightly despite the complexity of cases. The performance, while comparable to international standards in many areas, suggests specic avenues for targeted interventions to meet or exceed clinical outcome benchmarks in morbidity and timely treatment.
