The High Voltage Parameter Editable Nanosecond Pulse Power Supply (HVPE-NPPS) plays a crucial and efficient role in the field of low-temperature plasma discharge applications, necessitating pulse parameter editability to ensure controllable discharge pulse power. This paper addresses the challenges faced by all-solid-state Marx nanosecond pulse power supplies during the output of high-voltage pulse amplitudes, such as the varying levels of voltage endurance issues across Marx unit stages and the severe interference problems during pulse power switching. It introduces an intermittent auxiliary source energy supply method. By combining isolated DC-DC modules with ultrafast recovery diodes, this method not only meets the high isolation voltage requirements of the Marx circuit’s auxiliary source, enabling intermittent energy supply but also allows for the design of effective auxiliary source anti-interference filters to tackle power-side noise intrusion issues in the auxiliary source power system. Based on the proposed solution, a 24-stage Marx unit HVPE-NPPS hardware platform was constructed. It can adjust pulse voltage amplitudes from 0 to 20kV and edit pulse frequency, width, and edges. Tests with three types of typical low-temperature plasma electrode loads showed uniform discharge effects, demonstrating excellent discharge performance. This confirms the feasibility, stability, and reliability of the proposed intermittent energy storage-type auxiliary power supply method.
