Le résumé fourni par la source
Organic Color-Centers (OCCs) are rapidly emerging as a unique family of color centers, distinguished by their rich chemistry and photophysics. Their potential to significantly enhance bio-imaging techniques, refine molecular sensing methods, and advance quantum information sciences is enormous. However, a significant challenge arises from the diverse bonding configurations on the sp2 carbon lattice, which leads to inconsistent quantum emissions – a major hurdle for applications demanding precision. Our study addresses this challenge by synthesizing divalent OCCs with reduced heterogeneity. In this talk, we will discuss our methods and the findings that emerged, emphasizing the feasibility and implications of realizing identical color centers. Achieving this milestone could be transformative for quantum applications, directly impacting the fields of imaging, sensing, and quantum information processing by providing a level of precision and reliability previously unattainable.
