Le résumé fourni par la source
Currently, with the introduction of Industry 4.0 into the market, the digital transformation of production plants is of utmost importance. For this purpose, some tools of computer science are being increasingly explored and utilized in industrial automation to provide computational resources as a technological enhancement. One of these areas is computer vision, which can be implemented using the Python language with the help of the OpenCV library, allowing for the manipulation of images and videos. In this way, this article covered the application of computer vision to detect the presence of chassis at the assembly station. It was integrated with an Indusoft Web Studio supervisory system via OPC UA communication, enabling production history by storing data in a MySQL database. It also described all the peripherals used in the chassis assembly monitoring project. Finally, the results achieved using computer vision compared to the use of optical sensors to identify the chassis on the assembly line were showed, considering the same chassis reading distance relative to the sensors. The results obtained using cameras for chassis monitoring were satisfactory. The field of view of a camera can detect the presence of the chassis at the assembly station, as well as obtain assembly times and production quantities.
