The COVID-19 pandemic has been described as a crisis on every level where its impact has been felt socially, culturally, environmentally, politically, and economically. It comprised a complex entanglement of people, other living things, places, spaces, objects, time, discourse, and culture ( Lupton & Willis, 2021 ). We began this book with the thought-provoking prediction of the COVID-19 pandemic that Bill Gates articulated in his TED Talk in the April of 2015. Even with the ideas expressed in his presentation, the world could hardly have prepared itself for the millions of people who were impacted by this devastating pandemic.
