Uptake of RH and MNCH services during the first year of the COVID-19 pandemic in Uganda – R4S study #4.3

This study tracked the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the availability of products and reproductive health (RH) / family planning (FP) and maternal, newborn and child health (MNCH) service delivery and use. It also documented adjustments and innovations to bridge gaps in service provision and uptake during the pandemic. The study gathered quantitative data from all 135 public and private health facilities across the country from 2018-2020 using the national Health Management Information System (HMIS). Qualitative data was collected from key informant interviews from various key personnel involved in the provision of RH and MNCH services and products from eight districts, including rural, urban, low-, and high-performing districts. Program and policy documents from implementing partners were also reviewed.
