Acute Ischemic Cardiac Injury In article number 2307233, Jun Wang, Moshi Song, and co-workers report that the prophylactic oral administration of Lactobacillus reuteri or its metabolite GABA attenuates macrophage-mediated cardiac inflammation and thus protects against acute ischemic cardiac injury. The monkey king (circulating system) on his somersault clouds (intestine containing Lactobacillus reuteri) holds a palm-leaf fan (GABA) to put down the fires (macrophage-mediated inflammation) on the Mountain of Flames (injuried heart).
