The Olympic games are considered one of the most prestigious and renowned games across the globe. The first modern Olympics was held in Athens in 1896 and since then all the countries and their players have shown keen interest in reaching till Olympics. This paper presents an analysis of 120 years of Olympic history, from the first modern Olympics in Athens in 1896 to Rio in 2016. The study aims to provide insights into the evolution of Olympic participation, performance, and trends across various disciplines and nations through data visualization techniques. The data used in the analysis was sourced from the official Kaggle datasets, which include information on sportspersons, events, and outcomes from every Olympic Games held from 1896 to 2016. The visualizations were created using advanced data visualization tools such as Tableau, and R Programming. The results of the study provide insights into the changing patterns of Olympic participation, success rates, and the dominance of certain nations over time. The study also highlights the impact of historical events, technological advancements, and other factors on Olympic performance. Overall, this study provides valuable insights into the evolution of Olympic history, and the research findings can be useful for athletes, coaches, sports analysts, and policymakers to gain a good understanding of the Olympic landscape and to make informed decisions in the future.
