Corrigendum correcting the paper ‘Observational study on the neonatal outcome during the COVID ‐19 pandemic in Germany’

Upon careful review of our published article,1 we have identified some typing errors in Table 1, titled 'Live birth and stillbirth and population based numbers of perinatal complications'. We are dedicated to correcting this condition directly, stating the following: First, the total n is n = 1 808 414 (2017–2019) and n = 592 392 (2020), which is the number of births. Respectively, the number of 'live births' is 1 801 710 (2017–2019) and 590 056 (2020). The error occurred because of a redundant and false addition of stillbirth onto the number of births, which already included stillbirth. It caused subsequent percentage errors. Secondly, 31 622 'Preterm infants were admitted to hospital within first 7 days' instead of 30 706. This occurred because of a transmission error between two corresponding tables. The updated version of the table rectifies the inaccuracies related to the wrong numbers. We apologise for this error. The calculations were based on the correct numbers. Accordingly, the errors do not change neither the statements nor the scientific conclusions in the text. The online version of the article has been corrected accordingly. M.
