Le résumé fourni par la source

A 57-year-old woman who completed a 5-year course of tamoxifen as an adjunctive treatment for breast cancer presented with blurred vision. The best-corrected visual acuity was 20/80 in the right eye and 20/60 in the left eye [Fig. 1]. Clinical examination revealed foveal pigmentary change with pseudohole appearance without the presence of a telangiectatic vessel, which is a classical sign of macular telangiectasia type 2.Figure 1: Fundus image of right and left eye showing pigmentary change at fovea of both eyes inset: Fundus autofluorescence image of respective eyes showing areas of ring like hyperautofluorescence. SD-OCT line scan over the fovea shows loss of retinal layers except internal limiting membrane and retinal pigment epitheliumOCT en-face and infrared images confirmed neurogenerative changes of the retinal layer in the absence of dilated vessels. This case highlights that tamoxifen-induced retinopathy and macular telangiectasia produce similar neurodegenerative changes from similar underlying muller cell injury.[1] Declaration of patient consent The authors certify that they have obtained all appropriate patient consent forms. In the form, the patient(s) has/have given his/her/their consent for his/her/their images and other clinical information to be reported in the journal. The patients understand that their names and initials will not be published and due efforts will be made to conceal their identity, but anonymity cannot be guaranteed.
