Le résumé fourni par la source
Pakistan has an evolving concern with the over-exploitation of plastic, elevating environmental and health hazards. This paper undertakes the task of identifying the knowledge and behavioral patterns among individuals concerning plastic usage as well as willingness to adopt alternatives. To accomplish this task, an online survey was conducted in Lahore to gather data through a questionnaire in which 225 individuals participated. The paper encompasses cross-tabulations, z-test, chi-square, and logistic regression models. The analysis of results concluded valuable insights like society needs awareness and change in the behaviour of disposal method, as the model with the accuracy of 78% predicted people's lack of inclination toward using dedicated bins, the call for alternatives to plastic products, and active participation of every sector to control plastic pollution.
