Packet analysis is one of the main methods of traceback when dealing with network forensics. This technique is used to uncover evidence of suspicious activity online, such as data breaches, unauthorized website access, malware infections, and intrusion attempts. We have developed Packetenizer, a tool that can analyse and give insights on network traffic. This tool would be immensely beneficial for system administrators and security specialists within an organization. Our aim is to showcase this data in a comprehensible and straightforward format. We intend to graphically depict the data and present a thorough breakdown, including a summary of the network and an analysis of any security incidents occurring within it. The paper provides an in-depth analysis of the tool’s functionalities, design, and implementation. Overall, Packetenizer presents a useful tool for network administrators to analyse and secure their networks efficiently.
