Le résumé fourni par la source

Energy consumption is a critical factor in the modern world, necessitating the development of energy-efficient solutions. Insulation, which minimizes heat transfer through walls, roofs, and floors, is one of the most effective ways to reduce energy consumption. Polyurethanes, with their suitable structural characteristics and high mechanical and thermal properties, are commonly used in various industries, including foams, elastomers, synthetic shells, coatings, and adhesives. The importance of energy conservation in reducing environmental pollution and overall energy consumption has led to a demand for materials with high capabilities to conserve and reduce energy waste. Consequently, researchers are working to develop suitable materials for this purpose. This chapter begins with a historical review of polyurethanes and an overview of their general features and applications. It then delves into a comprehensive examination of polyurethanes’ applications in thermal insulation fields, exploring various heat transmission modes and their thermal conductivity. The chapter also investigates different thermal insulation polyurethanes, such as foams, coatings, and films, in detail. Finally, based on the literature review, future trends and insights are provided for those interested in working with polyurethanes in the thermal insulation field.
