Mr Spruce is a 32-year-old single man who has an extreme right-wing mindset. He aggressively asserts what he and his like-minded associates regard as traditional British values – family, led by a strong heterosexual father figure; the prioritisation of white British interests over those of all others in his community; the domination and exploitation of what they regard as inferior states and peoples, at home and abroad; and a strong, authoritarian government. Everyone has aspirations – hopes and plans, objectives and goals, things they want to be different and better than they are now, based on ideas and values that define life&s;s meaning and quality. For many, these aspirations are personal, confined to their family and friendship circles, perhaps also to their workplace and the local community. The preparation of multiple preliminary hypotheses at an early stage in proceedings is a way of making central the practitioner&s;s openness to several possible explanations for a client&s;s harm potential.
