Impact of an international medical education collaboration between industry and medical associations Introduction and Background: During the pandemic, there was a big gap in the regular on-going training of physicians and there were few resources to fill this gap. As a response to this need, a digital medical education program with updated scientific content -EducAIR- was developed by GSK in collaboration with country medical societies in Asia, Africa and Latin America. Aims and Objectives: To fulfil the medical education need for primary care physicians in order to improve their disease management knowledge through a medical education program. Methods: In 2021 and 2022, the program was launched in 17 countries, in collaboration between industry and 35 medical societies using a digital platform. A total of nearly 16.350 physicians participated in the program. A physician satisfaction survey with 4 questions was used to measure feedback in Oct-Dec 22. Results: 973 physicians responded the survey. Content found useful with 92,38%; content considered to help make better decisions on treating patients with 82,09%; technical delivery of the content stated to be convenient and user-friendly with 88,47%; interest in taking similar future courses with 84,20%. Conclusions: There is an ongoing unmet need for medical education. EducAIR aims to meet the physicians’ needs in collaboration with local medical societies. Filling in the knowledge gaps, a medical education platform in collaboration with local medical societies can endeavour to target better patient care and potentially better patient outcomes.
