Performance Evaluation and Analysis of Round Robin Load Balancing in SDN

Software-defined networking (SDN) is a novel networking method that aims to improve the performance and reducing the cost of numerous networking systems over traditional networks that have less resource utilization. The load balancer in SDN is implemented in this work to optimize throughput utilization. Network is created by Mininet software. “This was done using a floodlight controller and the Python programming language”. For TCP and UDP protocols, two scenarios were analyzed before and after the load balancer. Using a load balancer with SDN improves network performance dramatically.
