Le résumé fourni par la source

Extracting the best image from a clip in clinical routine fetal ultrasound is a complex task that requires expertise, dedicated time and appropriate training. The objective will be to assess the performance of an artificial intelligence (AI) software in extracting from heart clips 4 standard heart planes included in ISUOG guidelines: Four chambers, 3 Vessels, Right Ventricular Outflow Tract and Left Ventricular Outflow Tract. Approximately 100 screening fetal ultrasound exams of the second or the third trimester will be collected from North-American centres. 3 groups will be compared: - Group 1: Standard heart planes saved in the exam - Group 2: Standard heart planes prospectively manually extracted by sonographers - Group 3: Standard heart planes automatically extracted by the AI software Each standard heart plane quality will be assessed via quality criteria that correspond to a visibility status (Visible / Not Visible) of specific heart structures as detailed in table 1 by three readers (maternal-fetal medicine doctors) evaluated the quality criteria of each standard heart plane (table 1). The performance of the AI software will be evaluated by comparing, for each one of the 3 standard heart planes considered: - images extracted in terms of number of quality criteria verified (Group 1 and 2 vs. Group 3) - time of image extraction (Group 2 vs. Group 3) This study will evaluate the performance of an AI software in extracting standard heart planes from heart clips, particularly will be evaluated if such a tool used in clinical routine can provide automatically extracted planes with similar number of matched quality criteria with reduced time of extraction.
