Introduction to Wireless Communication and Its Applications
Le résumé fourni par la source
This chapter presents the technology of the 5G wireless communication system. The main motive is to throw light on what 5G is, its workings, benefits, etc. This chapter discusses the use of dual band frequency in wireless communication and to make an antenna for it by choosing a frequency between 5.0 GHz and 5.4 GHz, for which a rectangular patch antenna is used. Dual band expresses that it is something which is made up of two things: it contains two bands that are used to provide better performance. It means that by this device two wireless signals can be transmitted simultaneously. Moreover, this chapter also compares 3G, 4G and 5G technologies in terms of parameters like bandwidth, data rate, speed, latency and many more. Also, it presents the microstrip patch antenna using a 5G application. The proposed antenna is designed to be capable of operating at a frequency below 6GHz, i.e., Sub-6. Sub-6 GHz is also known as Frequency Range-1; like the 5G frequency band, it is also categorized into two parts, low-band and mid-band, in which low-band ranges from 600 MHz to 2.4 GHz. With developments in technology, the use of mobile phones is not limited just to making phone calls or sending texts. Functions like music, videos, camera, internet and games applications also come into existence for the mobile phone. 5G technology enables a new kind of network that starts a revolution with applications including faster browsing, clearer calls and much more; actually it goes far beyond this. Its high capacity, speed, ultra-low latency etc. make it a more considerable technology.
