Abstract The rapid development of science and technology puts forward higher requirements for the quality and accuracy of high-performance impeller parts. In order to improve the machining accuracy of the inner surface and enhance the uniformity of the whole structure, In this paper, the large eddy simulation method is used to simulate and analyze the abrasive flow machining process of the high performance impeller with different machining parameters. Then the three processing parameters of inlet pressure, inlet speed and abrasive viscosity are simulated numerically. The results show that increasing the inlet pressure and abrasive viscosity can effectively improve the processing effect. Increasing the inlet speed will improve the processing intensity, but the overall processing uniformity will be reduced. The experiment result shows: The inlet pressure and particle size have a significant impact on the abrasive flow machining effect, followed by the number of machining times, and the surface roughness of the high-performance impeller after abrasive flow machining can reach 0.052µm, and the best technological parameters determined by the experimental research can realize the uniform polishing of the high performance impeller by abrasive flow machining technology.
