The Society for Health Communication (Society) is a united group of health professionals, scholars, and students who collaborate to improve the impact of health initiatives by building a unified voice for health communication. Founded in 2015, the Society brings together experts and professionals from diverse sectors to create meaningful connections, share knowledge across disciplines, and advance the science of health communication. The Society is the only organization explicitly connecting individuals who work in public health, healthcare, medical communications, public relations and advertising, digital health, health communication research, and academia. Through its annual National Summit for Health Communication and a variety of activities and online resources, the Society provides opportunities for health communication professionals to connect and learn from thought leaders in the field. Facilitating information sharing across industries and connecting health communication professionals is central to the Society's mission. The Society offers individual and organizational membership options.
