Abstract The focus of this chapter is on neuro-ophthalmology. The chapter begins by outlining the anatomy of the visual pathway, pupil reflex anatomy, cranial nerve anatomy, and the central control of ocular motility. It goes on to discuss neuro-ophthalmology history taking and examination, and neuroimaging. It continues with a discussion of chiasmal and retrochiasmal visual pathway disorders, optic nerve disorders, papilloedema and idiopathic intracranial hypertension, and congenial optic nerve disorders. In addition, it discusses cranial nerve palsies, nystagmus, supranuclear eye movement disorders, pupil abnormalities, headache, and non-organic visual loss. The chapter concludes with a discussion of neuromuscular junction disorders and ocular myopathies.
