Le résumé fourni par la source

Introduction The nowadays technology to objectify the nystagmus encompasses a wide variety of tests. The videonystagmography is the most widely used tool for diagnosis and video documentation of the nystagmus. None of tests has the possibility to present the position and motion of the inner ear (the semicircular canals, sacculus and utriculus) during the examination. In the following presentation, we would like to demonstrate the first video documentation of vertigo nystagmus with 3D reconstruction of the vestibular analyzer. Materials and Methods In our tests, we have utilized the features of the iPhone 12 for video documentation, as well as for spatial orientation. The iPhone 12 integrated 9-axis absolute orientation sensor (MEMS). It is a combination of a 3-axis acceleration sensor, a 3-axis gyroscope and a 3-axis geomagnetic sensor Results The video quality parameters for documenting vertigo nystagmus are as follows: 4K video 24 fps, 25 fps, 30 fps or 60 fps; In addition, the eye movement could be precisely tuned with 2x optical and up to 3x digital zoom. The slow motion video on 1080p could be at 120 or 240fps, which allows more than a precise diagnosis and features of the nystagmus. The spatial orientation is based on nowadays gyroscopes. They use microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) technology. It fits into smartphones with minimal power consumption. Discussion The proposed video documentation and 3D reconstruction of the vertigo nystagmus has best up to day video parameters for precise diagnose and first in world objectification of the inner ear special orientation during the examination.
