Transition to e-mobility will need a new customer-centric approach by DSO - E-REDES strategy

Every successful company has a business strategy capable of accommodating market uncertainty considering, at the same time, its stakeholder's needs and expectations. Customer centricity has been a trending topic for many DSO's. The conventional modus operandi, focused on grid efficiency, is becoming wider with the ever-growing need to support the Energy Transition by empowering the road for the support pillars known as decarbonization, decentralization and digitalization. This new paradigm with growing ambitions has been approved at a global level in forums such as the COP26 and brings forth the advent of new business models to take roots, such as flexibility markets and energy communities, and enables a new frontier for new players to engage and interact. The customers are key strategic players in enabling this new framework, through their participation and engagement with the markets, turning themselves into what is known as the prosumers, that have a more active and engaging role in the grid and ambition fast access to simplified information to make informed decisions. This new concept of time and space for customers is happening as they are becoming progressively digital and want to have the option to relate with utilities that way and effectively.
