The Osborn Team is the team in our hospital that houses older children with medically complex conditions; most are adolescents and many are behavioral health patients awaiting medical clearance or bed availability. It can be emotionally and physically draining work. For 1 week in May 2016, Osborn team members were challenged to write a haiku every day that had some relationship to a patient, the patient experience, the family experience, or the physician and/or resident experience. Here are the best of those we developed together.
