INTRODUCTION:The COVID-19 pandemic is an unprecedented challenge for science and society, demanding rapid and diverse responses from the health systems that need to be reorganized, in all its components, to face it.OBJECTIVES: To describe the epidemiological profile of COVID 19 / Sars-CoV-2 according to epidemiological bulletins in the state of Tocantins from June to September 2020 METHODOLOGY: Retrospective, descriptive, quantitative study in analyzes of epidemiological bulletins of cases of corona virus in pandemic in the State of Tocantins in the period from June to September 2020.Research in Science, Direct-Elsevier and PubMed databases, the terms used were: Pandemia, Coronavirus, COVID-19, SARS-CoV-2.RESULTS: Age group most affected were 20-39 (44%) and 40-59 (31%) years.Female sex 46% of the cases; male 54% of the cases with no significant difference between the sexes.Mortality had a significant increase in August with 283 deaths and in June the first month analyzed occurred 124 deaths.The data show that in the two largest cities in the state, despite the difference between the numbers of inhabitants, the number of cases is equivalent, making an ascending and exponential curve in the number of cases for both Palmas municipalities in September (16,297 cases and Araguaína 15,124 cases).Number of deaths in the two municipalities with no significant difference for the month of September Palmas 200 deaths and Araguaína 155 deaths.CONCLUSION: This study analyzed the epidemiological bulletins of COVID19 from June to September 2020 in order to better understand the data reported by the State and Country health agencies and to return this information to the academic community, based also on other scientific studies.
