Le résumé fourni par la source

We are pleased to welcome you to the 30th anniversary of the annual meeting of the German Transplantation Society in Stuttgart, the metropolis and capital of Baden-Württemberg. Stuttgart is known far beyond its borders as a city of automobiles, but it also offers many other sights and experiences as a stronghold for architecture and due to its hillside locations as a wine growing area. You will feel at home with us. Due to the current development of the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic, we will hold this congress as a hybrid event, with both digital and reduced real presence. Keeping all precautions in mind we hope, that this kind of congress participation will be highly appreciated by you and finds your support since digital presence became the almost “normal” form of meeting in the last months. The Stuttgart Transplant Center has been successfully transplanting kidneys for more than 35 years now – with a special focus on living kidney transplants. Similar to other areas of transplantation medicine, this requires a high degree of interdisciplinarity and a patient-oriented teamwork. Outcome data are of high interest; however, psychosocial aspects are becoming increasingly important and are therefore another focus of this conference. Patient-oriented solutions are absolutely necessary, especially in the current situation and with respect to the continuing shortage of donor organs. Besides certainly many interesting aspects of SARS-CoV-2 and organ transplantation, another focus of this conference will be on surgical procedures of organ transplantation as well as on allocation of “marginal” organs. We will also focus on exciting and innovative immunotolerance data as well as challenges and special features of pediatric transplantation. We are pleased that the abstracts of this meeting will be published in the current issue of Transplantation International. We look forward with pleasure to your digital or in person participation in the 30th anniversary of the annual meeting of the German Transplantation Society in Stuttgart. On behalf of the Stuttgart Transplant Center, the organization committee and the board of the DTG.
