Concentration and velocity field of supersonic fuel mixing by using LIF and PIV method
Le résumé fourni par la source
For supersonic mixing enhancement in SCRAMJET engine, streamwise vortices and its breakdown seem to be the most advantageous. We expect that streamwise vortices are breakdown and develop turbulent mixing field as going downstream. In order to increase the mixing performance, it is important to understand supersonic mixing field with streamwise vortices. In the present study, we examined supersonic mixing field, which is generated by Hyper-mixer type wall-mounted ramp injector, by LIF and PIV method. It was clarified from results that iodine gas as pseudo fuel moves downstream by swirling components of streamwise vortices and is spread in streamwise vortices. Furthermore, it was clarified that the motion of pseudo fuel has a good correlation with the motion of streamwise vortices except for the center of streamwise vortices.
