EnglishABSTRACT. The variable educational level (EL) is a good predictor of the VM. This VM in high school experiences changes through the academic years, as Alvarez and colleagues state (2007). They are the results of our research (quasi-experimental desing, ex post facto). A higher EL, more VM is essential to work in a gradual progression to accompany the process. Alvarez (2007) stated that these students (4th, 1st and 2nd year of ESO) are characterized by: A lack of evidence to think about themselves, little or no planning of their vital project in the short or medium term, little use of resources for the exploration of themselves and the context, the poor academic or working information they have and receive, a lack of strategies to face the process of decision-making and a poor approach to the working world and the roles to play in that world. With these features and research, we can assure that Vocational Tutorial Action Plan (V-PAT) is an effective requirement for the development of the VM. It helps to optimize the choices of students according to their interests and their academic results. In the Orientation Teams, it has to be clear that they must lead the way to the VM and cannot be left randomly or happen hastly (Rodriguez, 2003; Santana, 2009; Santana, Feliciano and Cruz, 2010). It will be a programmed task in all the educational levels and it should fit the real needs of students.
